The Unconditional Seasonal Support Project (UCSS) is a vital initiative designed to provide essential food assistance to the most vulnerable households in Afghanistan. Initially covering three districts in Kabul city (PD# 15, 13, and 16) and four districts in Parwan province (Sayed Khail, Jabal Seraj, Charikar, and Bagram), the project also extends support to returnees from Pakistan and Iran, particularly in Jabal Seraj and Sayed Khail districts. Currently, AWARD is implementing the UCSS project across five districts in Kapisa province—Hesa-e-Dowan, Nijrab, Ala Sai, Koh Band, and Mahmood Raqi. Through this project, AWARD is committed to alleviating food insecurity among the most vulnerable populations, ensuring that they receive timely and critical support during the most challenging seasons.
The MCBP is a safety net Programme that will provide nutrition & food security benefits for women and children through a providing health and nutrition information and awareness sessions and messages, complemented with a financial incentive to access services and support access to nutritious foods. The NGOs/CSOs Capacity Supporting Project (NCCSP), funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is focused on reducing poverty by creating income-generating and livelihood opportunities in Parwan province, Afghanistan. This project aims to empower local communities by strengthening the capacities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) to implement sustainable development initiatives. By fostering economic growth and enhancing livelihoods, the NCCSP contributes to the long-term stability and prosperity of Parwan province.
