The Afghan Women Association for Rehabilitation and Development (AWARD) has established itself as a trusted and capable national NGO with extensive experience in pre- and post-project Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), needs assessments, and site surveys across Afghanistan. With a proven record of excellence in needs assessments, project evaluations, baseline and endline surveys, data collection, and verification, AWARD has supported numerous donor-funded programs to ensure that interventions remain evidence-based, results-oriented, and responsive to community needs.
AWARD's technical expertise spans multiple thematic sectors, including Education, WASH, Livelihoods, Agriculture and Food Security, Protection, Health and Nutrition, Women Empowerment, Community Development, and Humanitarian Response. AWARD has led and contributed to a wide range of field-based surveys, post-distribution monitoring activities, outcome evaluations, and impact studies, employing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies aligned with international standards and donor requirements, including those of UN agencies, INGOs, bilateral donors, and development partners.
Our dedicated MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) and research teams are equipped with advanced digital tools and methodologies for real-time data collection, analysis, and reporting. AWARD employs systems that ensure data quality, accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity through rigorous processes of data validation, triangulation, and verification. AWARD’s capacity also extends to designing and implementing third-party monitoring and independent evaluation projects, supporting government institutions and donor agencies in validating results and strengthening accountability.
With an active operational presence across multiple provinces and regions of Afghanistan, AWARD maintains strong relationships with provincial and district authorities, community-based structures, local leaders, and other stakeholders, enabling access to remote and hard-to-reach communities. This extensive reach ensures that AWARD can conduct nationwide assessments and surveys with cultural sensitivity, logistical efficiency, and methodological rigor.
AWARD is well-positioned to undertake future evaluation, assessment, monitoring, and survey assignments for international and national partners, donors, and institutions. Our commitment to transparency, learning, accountability, and adaptive programming continues to guide our monitoring and evaluation efforts, ensuring that every intervention contributes effectively to sustainable community development, humanitarian action, and long-term positive impact across Afghanistan.
